Test Photos of Voigtlander Vitoret D №526639
The Vitoret D model was introduced around 1962 as an affordable viewfinder camera from Voigtländer, and in 1966, it was replaced by a redesigned version with more squared body corners. Its production ceased in 1971.
The Vitoret DR model was introduced around 1964 as an affordable 35mm rangefinder camera and was replaced in 1966 by a redesigned version with more squared body corners. Its production ceased in 1971.
The DR differed slightly from the D model since the shutter was a Prontor 300. The number 300 indicates the maximum shutter speed. The Vitoret D model had a Prontor 125 shutter.
DR is a rangefinder camera, while D is a scale-focus camera.
This unit is in excellent condition.
Currently testing it with film.
Some first impressions:
- The case resembles a German WWII helmet :-)
- The focus ring is moderately tight - I really liked it
- The opening mechanism is very sensitive. If you use it with the case, it's fine, but without it, I wouldn’t risk it. However, it's not a bug, it's a feature.
